Personalized Ayurvedic Treatment Goes High-Tech with Prakruti Analytics

Dr Nitin Chaube, the founder of Health Beyond Healing Pvt Ltd, spoke about the challenges faced by the Ayurveda education system in India in a recent interview. According to Dr Chaube, the focus of students needs to be shifted from formulation development to understanding the science. He believes that the beauty of science lies in its analytical character and applicability, not in dogmatic practice and penalization upon failure to respond to a dogma. He also emphasizes the need for evaluation methods that do not focus solely on memorization of Sanskrit shlokas.

Dr Chaube's startup has developed a software called Ayurscan that aims to achieve 99.99% accuracy in assessing a person's prakruti, which is influenced by at least seven different characteristics including time. He hopes that this software will refine the landscape of Ayurveda education and achieve true globalization of Ayurveda. However, he acknowledges that achieving infallibility in the system requires acknowledging its shortcomings and building a strong community that focuses on education and not just money-making.

Dr Chaube notes that the classical texts of Ayurveda attribute prakruti as varying and influenceable, and he hopes to incorporate this understanding into the education system. He believes that evolution is the primary principle of Ayurveda and lays down fundamentals and principles for understanding it. Dr Chaube stresses the need for students to understand the science of Ayurveda and not just memorize formulas, and he encourages a shift in focus to analytical character and applicability.

Overall, Dr Chaube's insights shed light on the challenges and potential solutions for the Ayurveda education system in India. By shifting the focus to understanding the science of Ayurveda and incorporating evolving concepts, such as prakruti, into the education system, Ayurveda can continue to evolve and thrive in today's world.
